Teaching a foal to lead takes patience and can start in very small ways to get a soft and willing response.

For foal handling, we recommend the following tools:

• Foal handling line - you'll start with this before the foal halter and eventually use it in combination with the halter
• Foal Hybrid Halter - features a figure 8 design with a floating ring that minimizes the risk of flip over
• Slim Stick - (optional) for the foal that is mouthy or wants to jump on you
